On Sunday, Nov. 29, American Aquarium plays Ponte Vedra Concert Hall to a general-admission floor, with reserved seats also sold. Three nights later, A.J. Croce plays the same room with every ticket tied to a seat. Between Nov. 6 and Dec. 13, the hall at 1050 A1A North has 21 shows on its calendar, and they fall into two groups. Late November is mostly standing-floor nights with early starts. December is entirely reserved seating, with later curtains and higher top prices. Nothing else is listed until January.
If you're choosing a holiday night out, the date tells you as much about the evening as the name on the marquee.
November's back half belongs to the floor
Starting Nov. 15, the November calendar is almost all mixed-format shows. Each one sells general-admission standing on the floor plus reserved seats. All of them open doors at 5:30 p.m. and start at 7 p.m.
| Date | Show | Format | Doors / Show | Price range on the event page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sat., Nov. 7 | A Flock of Seagulls | Standing | 6:30 / 8 p.m. | $52.79–$81.14 |
| Sun., Nov. 15 | Here Come The Mummies | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $74.34–$103.82 |
| Tue., Nov. 17 | Spafford | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $40.15–$62.84 |
| Thu., Nov. 19 | East Nash Grass with Remedy Tree | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $48.26–$58.46 |
| Sat., Nov. 21 | Honey Hounds with Nether Hour & Twin Suns | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $48.26–$69.80 |
| Sun., Nov. 22 | Matt Maeson: Watch My Step | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $52.79–$134.68 |
| Sun., Nov. 29 | American Aquarium with David Wimbish | GA standing + reserved | 5:30 / 7 p.m. | $40.15–$66.23 |
Most of these nights also cost less at the top end than the December shows. Spafford and American Aquarium both start at $40.15, and East Nash Grass tops out at $58.46. Prices are a snapshot from the venue's event pages in early November, and every show was still listed "On Sale Now." The early 7 p.m. starts on a Tuesday or Thursday make this a realistic weeknight outing for anyone working the next morning.
The seated shows in November come in a separate cluster, mostly around mid-month. Bruce Cockburn, with special guest Livingston Taylor, opens the stretch on Friday, Nov. 6. Paula Cole's THIS FIRE: 30 follows on Thursday, Nov. 12, Davide De Pierro on Saturday, Nov. 14, and Buena Vista Orchestra on Wednesday, Nov. 18. On Friday, Nov. 20, John Cusack appears with a special screening of "High Fidelity." It's reserved seating, priced from $63.56 to $325.90, the widest range on the calendar.

Starting Dec. 2, every show on the calendar is seated. Most start at 7:30 or 8 p.m.

- Sun., Dec. 13: The Fab Four, $52.23–$120.26
Kenny G has the highest entry price of the season at $97.58. Jim Norton has the lowest, at $37.98. December has three explicitly seasonal shows. Kenny G's is a holiday tour. Mindi Abair's Christmas show features Andréa Lisa, Rebecca Jade, Arthur Thompson, Xavier Gordon and Darryl Williams, and her listing also invites guests to a pre-show Wine and Jazz Tasting with Abair and Eric Guerra. The tasting includes a wine-pairing master class and live songs. Shaun Cassidy's December show is a holiday show.
The Fab Four on Dec. 13 is the last show of the year. For anyone hosting out-of-town family later in December, that's the final chance to take them to a show here before January.
Why the same room can run both formats
The room you're walking into this season is a new one. St. Johns County closed the venue in May 2024 and marked the completion of a $12.9 million renovation on July 30, 2025, with the first concert back on Aug. 1, 2025. The renovation added a second-floor balcony and about 25% more capacity. It also widened the stage and upgraded sound, lighting and projection. Other additions include two covered outdoor terraces, a café, a multipurpose room, a merch store, better concessions and restrooms, and improved parking.
The venue now lists capacity as 638 seated in theatre configuration or 1,103 standing. That's a difference of roughly 465 people between the fully standing layout and the fully seated one. The hall publishes separate seating maps for each layout.
The terraces are on the first and second floors, both covered, and the venue pitches them as a place to step out between sets. At the reopening show, the Ponte Vedra Recorder reported patrons at the café and at four bar areas.
The county owns the building. Since Oct. 1, 2023, the nonprofit SJC Cultural Events Inc. has run it along with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. The nonprofit handles events, promotion, maintenance and capital projects in coordination with the county.
How the format changes your arrival
Every show this season opens doors 90 minutes before showtime. On a late-November general-admission night, that means 5:30 p.m. doors for a 7 p.m. start. On most December seated nights, doors open at 6 or 6:30 p.m. Floor spots at a GA show go to whoever gets there first. A reserved seat is waiting for you whenever you arrive.
Parking matters for both formats. According to the venue's directions and parking page, the on-site lot is free and first come, first served, and it opens two hours before gates. Parking fees for events not produced by SJC Cultural Events are up to the producer. The lot doesn't allow tailgating, alcohol, pets, scalping or vending. For a 5:30 p.m. November door time, the lot opens around 3:30 p.m.
The box office is at the front left of the building. It's open Sunday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and you can reach it at 904-209-0399. It takes cards only. Buying in person skips the online service fees. If you live a few minutes up or down A1A, picking up December tickets at the window on a weekday is the cheapest way to buy them.
The venue guide limits bags to 12 by 12 by 6 inches and bans backpacks. The security policy also allows clear bags under one gallon and small bags under 6 by 6 by 6 inches, and bags may be searched. Folding and camping chairs aren't allowed, which matters most on a standing night. Admission rules for children vary by event, and the box office can answer questions for a specific show.
You don't need a ticket to use the front of the building. Kookaburra Coffee Outpost and the merch store sit inside the box office area and are open to the public daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entering the venue itself on a show night requires an event ticket.
The days the hall shares with its neighbors
On Friday, Nov. 6, before Bruce Cockburn takes the stage, the main parking lot becomes a drop-off point. Rock The Pantries runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at both Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Staff collect nonperishable food for 15 local pantries, including Epic-Cure, St. Johns Food Pantry, Pie in the Sky Community Alliance and Betty Griffin House. The list of requested items includes peanut butter, canned soup and stew, canned meat or fish, beans, pasta, rice, cooking oil and boxed cereal. They can't accept refrigerated, expired, baked or glass-packed food. Donors can enter a drawing for a venue merchandise pack.
The next weekend lines up with Sawgrass Village, just down A1A. First Coast Cultural Center's Holiday Shoppes takes over 6000B Sawgrass Village Circle with a $45 private preview on Friday, Nov. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Public hours are Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors from Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine sell wood carvings, jewelry, glasswork, clothing, sweets and more. The market wraps up at 4 p.m. both days. On Saturday that leaves two hours before doors for Davide De Pierro's 7:30 p.m. seated show, and on Sunday it leaves 90 minutes before the 5:30 p.m. doors for Here Come The Mummies.
A dinner option nearby is changing too. Pusser's Bar & Grille at 816 A1A North is becoming Craig's Beach House, and the Jax Daily Record reported that it's expected to stay open during the renovation. Restaurateur Craig Miller, a former chairman of the National Restaurant Association, is leading the project with Pusser's owner Gary Rogalski. Plans include an expanded menu, new cocktails, seasonal specials and audiovisual upgrades for sports fans. In the news release the paper quoted, Miller said he wants it "to feel like your favorite neighborhood gathering spot."
At Sharon Mills, we keep track of the places that shape a Ponte Vedra Beach evening, from the box office window on A1A North to the market tables at Sawgrass Village.
